It is also known as the Coastal Highway is a north-south United States highway. In 1932 towards the south end of US 17 was extended to its current terminus at US 41 in Punta Gorda FL. In town the route got detached onto one-way pair which approach signage on Marion Avenue (southbound US 17). Roughly about four blocks ahead is towards the left to the south bound US 41 which is just before you reach it there's an End sign.
In the year 1965 US 17 got extended to its current northern terminus in Winchester VA. US 11, US 50, and US 552 entire coverage in the downtown Winchester. There they got routed up to a one-way pair having Braddock, approaching the intersection with Gerrard Street, where the routes start to diverge. Abruptly a US 17 sign appears.
Few of the signs are little bit dark but the one which is on the right points out that US 11 continues directly on Braddock, which instantly turns into Valley Avenue and heads toward Harrisonburg. The mid sign routed up to US 17, US 50, and US 522 traffic towards the left onto Gerrard.
Note the angled arrow - that's all because of the angle at which Millwood comes from the southeastwards.
Henceforth - though there were no "End" or "Begin" signs - one can end, depending on this sign, that the north starting of US 17 is at the junction of Braddock and Gerrard, and the north end is at the aforementioned five-way. Nevertheless, on his most recent visit to the area in 2000, Michael observed that northbound US 17 signage vanished after the I-81 interchange.
