What information has to appear on my commercial vehicle?
The name of the owner, lessee or lessor of the vehicle, the name of the municipality of their primary place of business and the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). The sign must be in plain view, and the letters must be not less than 3 inches tall. Operators of fleets with 50 or more commercial vehicles may instead display a corporate identification number. How can I get a roadside inspection report?
FAX a request on company letterhead listing the date and inspection number to the New Jersey Department of Transportation at 609.530.5270.

Where are the commercial truck weigh stations?
Permanent weigh stations are located at:

* I-78 EB and WB at mile marker 3.0
* I-80 EB 1 mile east of the Pennsylvania State Line
* I-287 NB at mile marker 9.0
* I-295 NB at Mile Marker 3.6, Carney's Point

New Jersey also uses portable scales.
