Kia Motors is showing a very unique version of the Kia Rio Hybrid saloon at the 77th Salon de l, Automobiles in Geneva.

The European premiere celebrates the recent announcement that Kia Motors, together with Hyundai, are to deliver the Korean Ministry of the Environment with an additional 3,390 hybrid vehicles over the next 2 years, as part of the country’s current programme of ‘real-world’ testing to extend hybrid vehicles for the future.

The growth of this hybrid test fleet creates the Korean operation one of the world’s largest future-technology test programme’s & it is just 1 of several Kia research & development tasks aimed at manufacturing eco-friendly cars for volume production by 2010.
